Training Videos
    by Team Austin

An important facet of Team Apocalypto membership is familiarity with the enemy.

Here at headquarters, training videos are shown at regular meetings.

It is advised that all members of Team Apocalypto become experts in the zombie movie genre, to ensure that we remain at the cutting edge of zombie-preparedness strategy, technology, and innovation.

Training Videos:

A quick search on Amazon or the IMDB will reveal hundreds of zombie movies, which are all thoroughly reviewed by others. We leave the reviewing to them. However, in order to help narrow down these hundreds of films to a more manageable level, we have listed below several films of particular note.

These films stand out for the ground-breaking quality of the film making, the cleverness of the storyline, the brilliance of the acting, or in some cases the sheer campy grotesquerie of the film concept.

5 brains - absolutely phenomenal
4 brains - awesome
3 brains - impressive
2 brains - noteworthy

Finally, a bright and cheerful zombie film.

An instant Bruce Campbell classic, featuring Elvis versus an ancient Egyptian cowboy zombie.

You've gotta love Robert Rodriguez.

Absolutely brilliant acting from Will Smith.

The most realistic high-school voodoo zombie ritual ever caught on film.

Best zombie movie to come out in a long, long time.

Brain Brain Zombie (Italian-true-zombies)
Also known as Zombi2.  One of the all time classics.

Gleefully repugnant.

Brain 28 Days Later (bioengineered-disease-nonzombies)
A nice bit of warning about who not to trust during the coming Zombie Apocalypse.

Brain Brain 28 Weeks Later (bioengineered-disease-nonzombies)
Another cautionary tale, which begs the question "Is it more important to save a child or to follow established safety protocols?"

The 1962 beginning of undead makeup - absolutely essential viewing.

Cheesy 80s meets pseudozombie mayem.

YOU can submit a study guide to help other zombie fighters. Write up an article discussing what can be learned by watching one of the movies listed above and submit your wisdom by email to apocalypto at coalblackheart dotcom. If you choose to write about a movie not on the list, please make sure it is relevant to the genre and that it doesn't suck.
